The susceptibility of Blattella germanica (L.) in the Republic of Korea (ROK) to insecticides was evaluated under laboratory conditions using 12 insecticides currently used by the local public health centers and/or pest control operators in the ROK. The insecticides included seven pyrethroids and five organophosphates. Based on their LD50 values, the order of susceptibility of B. germanica adults to the insecticides was chlorpyrifos-methyl, profenofos and chlorpyrifos with values of 0.07, 0.29 and 0.88 µg/♀, respectively. The least susceptibility was obtained with tetramethrin at LD50 of 7.39 µg/♀. In the comparative resistance test, the resistance ratios (RR) of 12 insecticides were compared to each other using field-collected B. germanica adults in Seoul between 1993 and 2007. Blattella germanica demonstrated higher RRs to pyrethroids such as λ-cyhalothrin, and low RRs among the organophosphates. Among the pyrethroids, λ-cyhalothrin had the highest RRs of 111- and 129-fold differences at LD50 and LD90 values, respectively. Among the organophosphates, profenofos was observed to have the highest RRs of 4- and 15-fold differences at LD50 and LD90 values, respectively. However, there were no significant differences in susceptibility to tetramethrin, chlorpyrifos and fenitrothion. Blattella germanica was more susceptible to pyridafenthion showing a 0.7-fold difference in a resistance ratio (RRLD50= LD50 value of 2007/LD50 value of 1993). Resistance ratio of tetramethrin was low, but susceptibility was also not high.  相似文献

ABSTRACT Proteins in whole bodies of two-spotted spider mites, Tetranchus urticae , were compared between non-diapause and diapause conditions using one- and two-dimensional electrophoresis. At one-dimensional analysis diapausing mites synthesized several unique proteins that are higher in their quantity than non-diapausing ones. Overall protein numbers in two-dimensional gel show that diapause mites expressed fewer proteins than non-diapausing ones. However, 25 proteins that have higher quantity in diapause were selected at the range of low molecular weight (5-20 kDa). Among them 13 proteins were only present in diapause mites. Our results thus indicate some proteins uniquely expressed during diapause and may have specifie roles during long overwintering period.  相似文献

The present study reports the development of 30 polymorphic microsatellite markers for zoysiagrass Zoysia japonica Steud. The 30 markers produced a total of 125 alleles with an average of 4.2 alleles per locus. Values for observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.10 to 0.95 and from 0.15 to 0.81, respectively. At significance threshold (P < 0.05), 11 loci deviated from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium, whereas significant linkage disequilibrium values were observed between 16 pairs of loci. These markers may provide information needed to select genetically diverse parents for developing breeding and mapping populations of zoysiagrass.  相似文献

Agrobacterium‐mediated gene transformation was used to introduce plastidic protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase (Protox) genes from Arabidopsis, with and without the transit sequence, into the rice genome. They were placed under the control of the constitutive and ubiquitous maize ubiquitin promoter, and their abilities to confer resistance to the diphenyl ether‐type herbicide, oxyfluorfen were compared. The integration and expression of the transgene in the T1 generation was examined by Southern, northern and western blot analyses. Surprisingly, as judged by an in vivo seed germination assay and an in vitro cellular leakage assay, both lines were similarly resistant to oxyfluorfen. The tolerance to cellular damage (lipid peroxidation and electrolyte leakage) was higher in transgenic plants than in wild‐type plants. In transgenic plants, the degree of herbicide resistance varied directly with the absolute amount of Protox protein expression. Both the intact protein and the protein with the transit sequence deleted were accumulated in plastids.  相似文献
